'Death by misadventure?' Mr. Toye and Mr. Deacon sound very much like Dumb and Dumber.
And just how is this an act of possible bravado!? Sounds to me like an act of utter stupidity!

I think the coroner is saying that Toye didn't understand how medically severe his burns were, hence his refusal of medical treatment as if he were trying to be a tough guy playing off his injury as something less than it really was.
