January 7, 2008, Monday, TIPPLE

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today. Tomorrow I’m bringing in chains, so beware.

The rest of the stuff is locked up in the janitor’s closet for safekeeping. No one knew my secret, but there it is. I’m just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words “as if” can get you an A to A++++ or a quadruple minus F, depending on my mood. .

We’re getting FOG in the morning. Never seen it here. Saw lots of it in So.Cal. I say it’s Global Cooling. Do you think I’ll get some kind of an award?

i agree with you, and i think it’s entirely possible. Bill O asked Fred thompson tonight if he had to bet his house on obama or hill as the candidate, who would he pick. he hesitated and said hillary. he knows them and what they are like

When I was in court, I had the 98 and a laptop which I still have. It’s just bandaged all over with duct tape. LOL! I only needed the court reporting program, the games programs and the trading programs. That was it. I learned a little here and there from my brother, but that was it.

Then when I met Cyber, there was so much to learn computerwise. Don’t you remember us so many years ago practicing our HTML and having the room hosed out because we had made a mess of it? And the room had to have less than 150 or so posts? LOL! Those were the days, my FRiend!

But Cyber has been in the computer industry for so long. Before I had met him, he made his own computer. I kept breaking it, and that’s the reason I brought one of mine out here. He couldn’t believe all the programs I had but had never used. I didn’t know how, and I refuse to read those danged books. I’m asleep by the first sentence.

calcowgirl did some research on rudy's recovery from radioactive seed implantation, and puts the lie to those who say his cancer kept him from running against her for Senator. had he done so, he would legitimately be the frontrunner.

I always wondered about that.

But as Mark Steyn said “in a world where John Edwards can beat Hillary, who needs Rudy?”

listening to both Huck and Mccain talk about immigration, they try to use the right buzz words, but the underlying sentiment is very much pro illegal. When mccain was questioned on it recently he said he would hate to have to call a soldier serving in iraq and tell them they were deporting his parents. that is just STUPID, how many of those would there possibly be? so we should let all illegals stay bc there are some with progeny serving in iraq. he can try to say the right things but when he makes comments like that, his underlying sentiment comes through and i don’t trust it.

As was pointed out above, the Anti-Hillary business model is not fairing so well as a campaign rationale either....

If you are Republican anyways....

Although we may have found a new underserved market of Hillyhaters, we call them 70% of all Democrats. LOL..
