It is the custom of Ted the Swimmer to legislate whilst tippling.

I’ll have you know, tD, that my eldest sister has a pair of Imelda’s shoes. She was a nurse for Ferdinand in Hawaii, and was the only size 6 nurse around.
Shoes are important!!!

It’s a little early, but a tipple of brandy would be nice on a cold morning! How much tippling have the politicians in all areas of government done by noon each day?
To: Slip18
I see not need for more tha 3 pair of shoes in anyone’s closet: running or exercise shoes; work shoes or boots, and formal goes-with-a-suit shoes. Flip-flops are optional.

Oh, my, what a question, dixie! I imagine they tippled once or twice.
Hi, Sweetie!
A++++ for you!

Thank heaven’s you’re not a girl. Shoes are very important. Even though I mostly wear sandals now in AZ, I have at least ten pairs for different outfits. We must match, you know. /sarc

Good Morning!
Tipple. Topple. Tupple.
Tuppence — Incident in which something has tuppled.
.
From my dad’s usage of the word, I always thought the derivation was “tip pile”.

Sounds almost like a Friday kind of word. Good limerick potential.
To: NicknamedBob
Excellent, NnB!
I've tuppenced before in my early years. But what the heck does "bib" mean. I couldn't find it.
Anyway, you get an A++++ for your post!

I was thinking of Tipper Gore, but then thought that may be crass. Of course, the AlGore got a Pulitzer for knowing NOTHING, so be it. Have at her.

Good morning, Gabz!
What’s this again? We have rain this morning. It must be the excess tuppence from the debate last evening.
Wonder if “temperance” comes from “tuppence.” Well, that’s where you live, isn’t it?
