Intel discovered this fact when the company was struggling in the 1990s to fix a range of design flaws in its own 486 motherboard prototypes. Asustek was able to fix it, and in fact already had a fully operational motherboard for the chipset before Intel did. Since then, the companies have been very close.

My company went through that and survived. We built tons of PCs. And everyone of them had an ASUS motherboard and an Intel processor.

Wonderful, reliable products.

I have a friend who had an Asus notebook...old one...bought in 2000. He was still getting parts for it and able to get it serviced after 5 years (in Hong Kong), at which time he bought another Asus notebook.

What does this say about large U.S. companies that play games with the ChiComs and are willing to sacrifice Taiwan?
