Police in Las Vegas, Nev., have found a 15-year-old boy and a 30-year-old woman who have been missing for several days. The woman, a counselor who was wanted on sexual abuse charges, is in custody and will be returned to Oregon.

According to a news release late this afternoon, Las Vegas authorities just found 30-year-old Jasmine Nguyen and the boy who were the subject of a search by the Portland Police Bureau's Child Abuse Team.

Earlier, the bureau had issued a press release saying that Jasmine Nguyen had been tracked to a motel in Wilsonville last week. Then, earlier today, another news release said the woman had been reported in California. Then news came they had been found in Las Vegas.

Law enforcement authorities suspect the boy ran off with the woman shortly before he was scheduled to tell a grand jury about their alleged sexual relationship. He had been referred to her for counseling.

Funny. On her website under “Upcoming Events” it didn’t say anything about going on the lamb or going to jail. You’d think that would be worth listing.

Oh my. With the new evidence, it is clear that she is GUILTY.

Well, see how good you look in your mug shot when they drag you in for having an "assault weapon" or a "sniper rifle", and an "arsenal". (However they define those terms. Could be a semiautomatic .22 with a $20 scope and a brick of ammunition).

I guess what happens in Vegas don’t necessarily stay in Vegas.
