Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the Black Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981. We believe in the following 12 precepts and covenantal statements. These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. Substitue ‘white’ where you see black’. If a white church came out with something like this, Sharpston and Jackson would be out front with 10,000 protesters in a heartbeat.
I highly doubt their commitment to Africa, as well.
Per Expedia, there are at least five airlines with flights from Houston, TX (IAH) to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (DAR). One-way tickets to Tanzania range from $1,1105 to $1,569.00. Certainly these prices are well within the range of most “african-Americans”.
