And now for a bit of fun with rhyme and little reason

Island Philosophy

I sit on the veranda, looking down the steep valley to the sea
Here in the shade of a banyan tree, I ponder things yet to be
Here where the final form of things to be are yet to exist to see
I create works of literary wonders that keep me busy as a bee

The winds tell me of life at a slower pace within the human race
And I wish I were part of it, for this hurry is even beyond a rat’s pace
Out to sea the fishermen move at a pace set as nature’s base
And dreams are precious treasures hung on a moonbeam’s lace
