Yeah - water is kindof a critical need over here too. I removed the ice on the top of the horse water, but it’s still very cold, normally I’d pour a bucket of hot on it to warm it up so they drink ~enough~ on these cold mornings, to not colic on their breakfast.

Yeah...not good for the horses! :-\

I had some water stashed for power outages...not super fresh, but drinkable for a dog. I poured a good amount on top of the frozen water in his bowl. The rest was frozen solid. Yesterday I ran hot water on it until the top melted, but it was really frozen today.

I guess he’ll live! It just might make his teeth hurt is all. ;-)
