Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Will pray, Suzi.
It was likely a pretty slow-motion event, so the driver’s probably OK. Not a fun way to start yer morning/weekend, though...
See any skid marks, but I didn’t get close either.
In the spirit of the event, may I humbly suggest the AlGore Gambit, wherein you drink so much iced tea that you have to, ahem, excuse yourself frequently. It worked for Al, and was a watertight alibi when the FBI came a'knocking.
Almost. It's definitely Caturday.
Yep! And I got to go home early on account of being there so early this morning.
Now...it’s off-and-on rainy out there, and vey windy and kind of cold.
Do I a) forget about trying to go do the run/walk thing and take a nap so I’ll be able to stay up for BSG
b) go figure out where the nearer trail-I’ve-never-been-to has parking and run in the cold
c) go buy paper so I can work on sudden story inspirations
or
d) some combination of the above? Hrm.
OK, settling for the cop-out version of d).
Did the NordicTrack thing, found some paper tucked away, and need to do transcription before I get started.
Save going to *town* for tomorrow...
*sigh*
Snow.
At the end of April.
In Western Washington.
It just ain’t right. Even if it is kind of an interesting contrast with the daffodils and green grass and all.
Snow going sideways... Even more fun :~).
How come you’re running/walking instead of riding the bike? We’ve had a few good bike days.
Because a good portion of the road here is torn up or about to be so, and I haven’t yet figured how I’m going to transport the bike in thenewcar. Shoes are a bit easier to carry.
I also have to get past the fear of riding near/in traffic all over again...
It’d be nice to start riding to work again, though. But they’re putting in housing and roundabouts on Henderson this summer. :-\ So I dunno.
Yeah. I really need a better shelter for the mower...the tarp came off about three times today.
If we get some nice weather next week, can I ask you guys for help getting it in the car to be worked on? I couldn’t even figger out how to get the handle down, and I don’t think I can lift it alone, either...
And my lawn is a jungle. A cold jungle, but a jungle.
Sure we can help get it loaded. Just holler.
Sorry to hear about SirKit’s brother; Prayers for healing sent.
You’re getting sideways snow?
We got some not-very-enthusiastic hail-like substance. But now nothing.
Whacky april weather.
Oh, when does the potluck start? Annie says she can be there. She wants to know which wine goes with chipmunk?
Hmmmm....is chipmunk white or dark meat?
Come down here, if you don’t mind our 80s and humidity.
