The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Hey, Jack Bauer went to China in back in a 48 hour period. Give these people a break. They’re civilians after all...

I wish I could...the second agency I got hired on with would be my first choice. But you never know with agency when a shift will come available.

Here’s the ranking...

A1 pays the least
Hosp pays the next lowest
A2 pays the most.

For future reference.

Anyway...I’m actually trying to get on with a third agency and it pays even more than A2. Base pay would be $35 an hour. I would be doing the same thing I do with A1 and A2.

The thing is...I’m fill-in staff. Even with the hospital...I get paid big to be flexible. I have to schedule 96 hours a month, but might not get them. Might get cancelled at the very last minute.

So I need to be constantly on the lookout for a good shift.

I thought the Christmas show and the pool were the things that kept you going all year. :~)

Just think, you could have a whole year of Corin with no pool stories, no show stories and no alumni board stories.

We may find out that I’m incredibly boring after all.

I think I have a fan belt going. :-\ When my car is a) coldish and b) at a stop, but with the engine running (like a stop light or intersection), it squeals HORRIBLY. Just started a few weeks ago. It’s embarrassing, but since the car seems to be running OK otherwise, I’m hesitant to bring it in.

When that happens to me, I usually just blame the dog.

What? Oh...nevermind...

Oh the other hand... fan belts are not expensive to replace, but will strand you just as sure as the expensive stuff!
