Spears' Lawyers Calling It Quits Court Filing Cites 'Breakdown' In Communication

LOS ANGELES -- Britney Spears' lawyers in her custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline are calling it quits.

A court filing by Trope and Trope obtained by CelebTV.com cites a "breakdown" in communication with the pop princess that makes representing her "impossible."

Spears and Federline have been wrangling for months over custody of their sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James. sponsor

Federline has temporary custody because Spears, who has limited visitation rights, has defied court orders.

On a separate legal front, an attorney for Spears wants the Los Angeles city attorney's office to prove that the pop star is a permanent California resident and is subject to state laws that require her to have a valid California driver's license.

Spears faces up to a year of probation if convicted in a misdemeanor case of driving without a valid license, a charge to which she has pleaded not guilty.

She doesn’t make me laugh as much as ANS did. For some strange reason she doesn’t garner my sympathy as much either. Maybe it’s the neglected childhood of ANS as opposed to the pampered nature of Britney. But both are disturbed, or were, for that matter.

Hey Southerngl, I say yes...we need to do a celeb ping list. This is really sad (but really, did the LAPD need that many units to respond? They even had air support!!!) I'll keep checking back (was looking for a Brit meltdown thread before I posted one).

FWIW I think this is a good thing...she needs medical help desparately. I hope she gets it.

Lastly, any updates on little Jayden? TMZ had two ambulances at Spears' manse (one taking the baby JJ away) and then a subsequent report on both boys being back at KFeds...

Apparently just bruised, but Brit claims it wasn’t her. As wacked out as she looked in that ambulance I don’t know how she would know.
