With all the theories about how this happened, consider this. What if the boys realized the tiger was coming after them and they threw the young victim at the tiger in an attempt to get away. Is that murder?
The police need to stay ON these guys until they find out WHAT happened. What DID NOT happen was a 300lb tiger just out for a stroll on the Zoo grounds and running into these 3 losers accidentally. Luck ain’t THAT fortunate. Like ANY MAJOR accident there are ALWAYS more to the issue then meet the eye upon the initial investigation. There is background galore here JUST waiting to be found.
The young men for some reason didn't scare, so the tiger advanced on them and took a swipe at one of them. That's when they tried to get inside the Cafe but the employee wouldn't let them in ~ obviously because he knew full well that tiger had been up there getting "snacks" after closing for quite some time. He did not want to make the tiger angry!
Eventually the tiger gets angry, kills one of the young men and drags him over near the enclosure. Then the cops show up and shoot him.
Remaining unaswered is where the shoe (outside the enclosure) came from? Did this tiger perhaps come upon someone else over the last few months and eat him or her?
How long have zoo employees and managers been aware the tigers can get out and walk around unsupervised?
How many people in the San Fran Bay area have gone to the zoo and never returned?
No doubt there are more questions to be asked, but I guarantee I am not going to go to any of these zoos any time soon!
