The all-time greatest Theme Music had to be the theme for “The Prisoner.”

Oooh, you’re good! I’m thinking but can’t remember any other special days.

I remember Spin & Marty with Tim Considine ... White Shadow with Corky, who was actually one of the ‘teers, Darlene Gillespie, I think. She was maybe my favorite ‘teer, other than Annette. There was a Doreen, too - or maybe a Noreen - she was the big sister of Cubby, I believe.

Karen and Cubby (O’Brien) were the littlest ones. Roy was the fat adult one and I don’t remember the skinny adult’s name who was the head ‘teer. Bobby was the oldest - he was the guy who became the lead dancer on the Lawrence Walk Show.

Ummm. Annette, of course. I’ve been thinking of her all week, as one of the entertainment shows keeps previewing a list of 25 stars of all-time or something for the end of the year - and she’s on it.

I cried my eyes out that first time she did a prime time interview after her MS had gotten so bad. I’ll never forget her saying ... “I .. just .. want .. to .. dance.” *puddle of tears here* I hope they will update us.

Still thinking ...

The skinny adult was Jimmy.

There was also "The Hardy Boys," but I think I liked "Spin and Marty" better. I liked that old guy, Mr. Applegate.

Gold dabloons and pieces of eight.
All belong to Applegate.
From pirateers who fought for years...
til none were left to bury the chest.

That's part of the "song," but I don't think I have the words in order. I do remember, though, that the kids were always looking for the buried treasure.

:-)

I can't believe jazz fans haven't mentioned the theme to Taxi.

I wasn’t sure if the Hardy Boys show was on during Mickey Mouse Club or was its own show, so I didn’t say it. I liked the kid named Kirk (??) — it must’ve been after Spin & Marty when my crush on Tim Considine had abated, lol.

Wow, Mr Applegate. I’ll have to google to bring that back to mind. Song is familiar, tho.

I think I’m getting mixed up with some of the Disney shows that came on on Sunday night on the Wide World of Disney - *When you wish upon a star ...* (Still one of my All-Time Favorite Songs, anytime, anywhere!)

Johnny Tremayne, Davy Crockett, Swamp Fox, stuff like that.

So, your old LaSalle ran great?

(Hee hee, I had *no idea* what that line in the song meant at the time - still have never seen one!)

Ha!

I do wonder why they put that in.

BTW: I think that show was the beginning of the end of positive shows.

Modern? That one is almost 20 years old, believe it or not!

The last “big” theme song might be the one from “Friends.” Not one of the better songs by the Rembrandts...

Your Bonanza lyrics are the second version. Soon after it went on the air they reshaped the show into the tiresome white-bread family everybody recalls. Originally they were mean mountain men, ready to kill any trespassers without a second thought. The original lyrics reflected the spirit of this version of the show. In other words they built an empire and by gosh nobody would be allowed to mess with them, much more in keeping with the reality of such men then the “we love all our neighbors” version that sleep-walked on for a decade.

I’ve got a flair for women everywhere Bonanza;
All for one, one for all, this I guarantee.
I’ve got a right to pick a little fight Bonanza,
if anyone fights any one of us
they’ve got a fight with me

These lyrics were heard one time only. At the conclusion of the pilot episode the four Cartwrights happy with the trespasser blood they spilled (bad guys who wanted to steal the Ponderosa) they rode out of town merrily singing.

I wish they had held true to the original concept. I’d watch those reruns.
