I work with kids, and I keep handy wipes around all the time. Any time they touch my hands, or I touch stuff they've touched, I discreetly clean off my hands. Hands touch the mouth, germs/disease spreads. It's not being a germaphobe if the germs really are out to get you!
For a famous person meeting lots of admirers, it's got to be tough to avoid and annoying too. People wiping their snotty noses, sneezing in their hands, then trying to touch you. Yucko.
AIRPLANES are the scariest germ labs for me. And I’ve gotten in to the habit of washing my hands before AND after using public restrooms.
