OK, thanks. Just asking. Seems a bit weird to have a mite specialize on the optic nerve. Wonder how the little critter gets there? And what’s up with these eyelash mites?

The eyelash mites make more sense, maybe the optic nerve mite is just a skin mite that moved?

Skeptical of the optic nerve mite business. As far as I know mites live on the surface of the body, not deep inside it. Unless I’m confused, the optic nerve is behind the eyeball, which doesn’t sound like mite territory to me.
