NO...it just escaped it’s area (door was left open)....and it was wandering fields....the owner begged the FWC (Florida Wildlife Commission) to let him retrieve the tiger when they saw it (since he could walk up to it and put a leash on him and lead him home) and they promised they would. But, the kid killed it.

That was my point. While I feel terrible that this beautiful animal was killed, she was in the act of mauling a man. Which is why she was justifiably shot dead.

I remember when it happened (we had not lived here long and it’s not that far from where we are). I don’t recall reading anything that the tiger did not make a threatening move. I did a quick search but couldn’t find any articles indicating what you posted. Could you steer me to one? I know that the Bobo had attacked a woman a few years before and that he was declawed but still had his fangs.
