such a leap would be an unbelievable feat, and "virtually impossible,
Why, my yard-cat can scale an 8 foot wall no problem. Why wouldnt a larger cat be able to scale a larger wall?

I have a 15-20lb female “outside cat” that routinely leaps 5-8 feet onto tree branches. I think a tiger could do that.

I once made eye contact through a glass window with a tiger at the Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World. It looked at me, narrowed it’s eyes then got up and trotted over and peed right in front of me. Lesson learned? Tigers are sensitive to challenges

Becaus the cat would have had to leap 18 ft out of a (I believe) 4 ft deep moat, or leap 20 ft across and up 18 ft.

Imagine your normal jump - 3-4 ft ? Then imagine jumping the same height from a 4 ft deep pool. Could you jump the same 3-4 ft ? No.

There are safety standards for the construction of tiger enclosures, and this one was apparently built to these standards.

A larger cat would be able to scale a larger wall, but not a proportionately larger one.
