From the current issue of Intelligent Life Magazine there is an Audio Interview with New York pianist Simone Dinnerstein whose new recording of the Goldberg variations on Telarc is truly lovely, IMHO.

The whole interview runs maybe 8-9 minutes.

I found that recording deadly dull. She plays every variation in the same soporific mood. No sense of discovery. Just a reduction of Bach’s most wide-ranging keyboard work to background music.

I like Cecile Licad's rendering of Chopin's Etudes, myself.
