It is true that XP is a lot better than Vista.
The blogosphere is full of a backlash against Vista.
I bought a new laptop with Vista and Vista is really bad. By bad I mean hundreds of issues too numerous to detail in a single posting.
XP is much better. And sad to say the outfit that sold me my Vista computer advised me to get the same computer with XP because XP was better. But I thought I would get the latest and greatest and that the world would go Vista in the next year.
Well I was wrong, very wrong. Vista is really that bad. And now I am in the process of purchasing XP and figuring how to wipe the new computer with a reformat, then install the new XP. I was thinking of copying and storing my version of Vista for later but I have a feeling as many do in the blogosphere that Vista will go the way of Windows ME.
Alway throw trash in the trash can, somewhere I read it was over with sometime next year.
There's little in Vista that justifies paying "upgrading" from XP to Vista. Microsoft is already working on "Windows 7." Vista should be called Windows ME 2007.
Well for the sake of this thread, can you detail ONE of the problems.
I’ve been trying to get some concrete answer on what is so Bad about Vista, and it seems that the people taking the most trash cant seem to explain what is wrong with it.
Unless your time is worth nothing, just get a new hard disk.
Don't just buy a copy! Contact the manufacturer of your new computer, and ask them if they've got a "downgrade" to XP. I don't believe that Microsoft charges anything for an activation key in certain circumstances, based on the version of Vista you have.
