Well, looking at their names, they sound Middle Eastern. Perhaps there is some logic or reason in not releasing their nationalities.

Actually, the "nationalities" line seems silly, on the one hand, as the names are so obviously Hindu Indian. OTOH, of course, their parents could have migrated one or more generations ago to, e.g, UK, Australia(some very strong OZ conservatives have Indian names), South Africa (Gandhi lived there for many years, a century ago), etc.

So, we will just have to wait and see -- although there are lots of native criminals in Louisiana, why prey without regard to "race, creed, or color"

No, they're Indians. Probably chosen because the likelihood of them owning weapons and being able to defend themselves was quite low.

That would depend on how you defined to Middle East. However, most people except for Miss. South Carolina understand that India is not part of the Middle East.

No, not Middle Eastern, Hindu. Could be Pakistani or other members of the Subcontinent as well.
