I'm more curious about what YOU deem to be a vicious anti-Mormon attack.
You've been asked several times to cite a comment that meets your definition and have yet to do so.
Again, please provide a link to just one comment that YOU believe falls into the characterization that you described.
I have a question about these “attacks.” If Governor Romney wins the nomination, do you think the MSM will refrain from bringing up the same doctrinal differences 24/7 between his nomination and the election? Most on Free Republic have a discerning mind and can find the truth for themselves. Many of our brethren in our great nation will hear this and stay home. A rumor that Bob Dole was pro-abortion helped cost him Catholic votes that would have made a huge difference.
If a man running for president belonged to a polytheistic religion, or was Islamic, would that be grounds to call into question their qualification for the office? To many, LDS is that far from Christianity.
With that said, there is a difference between pointing out problems with a candidate in a reasoned format and vitriolic attacks. I’m not sure if I could refrain from the latter if a Muslim were in the Republican nomination process. I would try. We have no need for the vitriolic attacks with no reasoning behind them. I have also been fortunate to not see these. Perhaps it is because I have despaired of trying reason on the followers of the two Governors in the race.
