jveritas, I have loads of respect for you, but I think your blanket call for an end to anti-Mormon posting is a bit over the top. Under every post there is an abuse button and it’s there so that we don’t have to make vanity threads like this one. The moderators on this forum are excellent, but they can’t possibly read every post on every thread, so if you are seeing so many outrageous personal attacks on Mormons you need to be hitting that abuse button more often.
Discussion of different faiths brings forth lots emotion and defensive reactions, but I don’t believe those discussions should ever be banned from Free Republic.

Thank you very much Elyse. The problem has reached a critical mass and we need more freepers to be aware of the problem and hit the abuse button that you referred to.
