Actually, Mormons are Christian for we have a hope in Christ, However, we are NOT orthodox Christians.

If our Critics would allow us to say we believe in Christ, most Mormons will not feel persecuted by having our differences with the Orthodoxy aired.

Mormons are Christians. There are many different forms of Christians. Some people, however, want to claim that only their denomination or sect have the right to call themselves Christians. I have met some such people.

I have come across numerous statements against Mormons here that can be described as nasty and bigoted - not merely expression of a difference in theological interpretation.
