It is not just prominent celebs who do the ‘nanny raise the kid’ thing. During college my daughter babysat for a family (the mom was a prof. at the college she attended) that spent thousands to adopt two little girls from China...sadly, my daughter was with them more than either parent during those summers (golf, tennis, daily trip to the gym).

Dumped him within nano-seconds of finding out about the GF.
He ended up marrying a nice girl (who probably was a virgin). I won’t be surprised at all if I ever hear that he has cheated on her.

I was a Nanny/cook/housekeeper for a divorced Dad who lived around the corner from the ex wife.
I did the week end care and he often had his Parents come for Sunday dinner.
I drove a school bus part time during the week for other income.
Kept my son and I in a nice home that we had to ourselves during the week and enough cash to stay off of Govt. assistance.
Gave me the time to care for KV and learn how to care for his needs.
Starting out dayz.
