Well, I went to a Zep concert when the double album came out (1977) and it was horrible. Page was so drugged out that when he sat down for the acoustic numbers, the roadies had to CROSS HIS LEGS for him. Plant sang everything an octave lower. Ever hear “Whole Lotta Love” sung by Barry White?

The 77 tour is notorious even amongst Zep fans for its problems...

Page was on heroin,Bonham was drinking too much,Plant’s on died back in England.Because of Page, the concerts varied in quality.

BUT some of the 77 tour is Zep legend, like the legendary LA Forum, NY, Cleveland,Seattle and Detroit concerts. And some of 77 rate as the best concerts they ever gave and rate as some of the vert best bootlegs (like ‘Destroyer’ or ‘For Badgeholders Only’ which were Cleveland and LA respectively.
