In the U.S., an attack on a guide dog is a felony. If it happened here, the owner would be looking at serious time in a federal, pound-in-the-*ss prison. I know. I raise guide dogs for our local guide dog school. It’s a real shame if the guide dog is retired because of this. It costs $30-40K to raise and train one and the blind person becomes very dependent on the guide dog for mobility.

We also have a pit-bull mix of our own, in addition to the guide dog puppy we raise. They are playmates and the guide dog pup tires out the other dog very quickly. So it really is the owner who is the lowlife in this.

If this would have happened to my dog, this low-life would be scraping what’s left of his pitbull off the curb. I enjoy hunting pitbulls and have learned to dispatch them with a single blow....from my double barreled 410. Notice that there are none in my neighborhood....anymore.

If the owner objects, well I make him an offer that he can’t refuse......
