OK folks, need some help. I have scoured the net and have yet to find documentation on what these are or a history on their worth.Anybody???
Thats who we use. We live not too far from Rago’s in Lambertville NJ & have gone often to have things appraised. David is a really nice guy & we like dealing with them. We only put very high end items in his auctions.
Thats the problem, I don’t know if it is high end or not till they get a look at it.
They are really nice & they will know by your pictures which are good & clear. Its easier for us to just drive down there. We use the auctions near our house but now almost every auction house we use is live on ebay so we still make money. My husband thought your little dishes which he says are butter pats were very nice. He collects butter pats, salt cellars, pottery etc. Primitives, tools, & too many things. Fishing lures are a favorite too along with axes. He wants a goose wing ax for Christmas but I don’t dare pick it out alone because I doubt I would get the right one...He has turned too many down for me to even bother trying to buy one. He is way too hard to please. lmao.
Just out of curiosity, how much did you pay for them?
$5 at a thrift store.
That is fascinating
They are soap dishes...my granny had some just like them with flowers painted on them...
Well, I have yet to get a bid on the butter pats but hey, look at what Rootie Kazootie is doing.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=190185593756&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=009
Neat! Did Rago ever back to you?
