Now now now. You sir have insulted the honor of my ancestors. I demand satisfaction. Retract or its pistols at dawn.
Besides if she sez “you all” she aint a southern belle.
After the [Civil] War a former Calvary Officer on General Lee's staff was riding home to Missippi on the railroad after changing trains at the Hart Memorial Station in Atlanta. A young Belle comes up to him, apparently in distress, and tells him, "Suhr, that there Yankee offered me ten dollars if I would sleep with him!"
The officer looks at her gravely, his face filled with apparent sympathy for the fate of a sister Confederate, laid open to the whims and insults of the victorious Northerner. "Ma'am, you stay hehr, I'll attend to this little matter."
He approaches the Yankee scoundrel, draws his pistol and dispatches the interloper with a single shot through the heart. Holstering his weapon, he looks around the crowded and now silent coach. "Let this be a lesson to any other carpetbagging Yankees, thinking they kin come down here and double the price of everything."
