Different approach: I went on Atkins and the weight, esp. around my belly, just fell off. And I eat lots of meat-—far more calories than I ever ate before. And think of all the people in the food industry I’m employing!

There’s an “epidemic” that causes obesity?

Exercise is the single cure. Eat, exercise. Eat more, exercise more.

I skimmed through the “Hungry for a Month” blog. Interesting. I have known a few months like that myself, but it’s been a while.

I’ve lost 33 pound since last January and a total of 43 from my highest weight. The equation is easy...
Eat healthier and less, move around more.

The way to cure America’s obesity epidemic is the same way that that epidemic was brought about — by redefining the terms. Years ago, obesity was defined as being heavily and seriously overweight (we’re talking 50 to 100 lbs overweight). But, through recent redefinitions and a desire to make money through all sorts of government grants and weight loss programs, obesity is now defined as being 20 or more pounds overweight.

How to lose weight?! A combination of low carb eating and getting on an elliptical trainer for at least an hour a day (some times two hours a day--one in the morning and one in the evening) for 5-6 days a week and throw in some strength training (approx 20 minutes 3 xs/week). Lost nearly 40 lbs already. You can see the results
here.
