And if the probation violation had been the guy talking to a male employee during work hours who was 17? Yes, I imagine I would feel the same way.

Let me also add to my previous post:

If it had been a man, and he'd been having a conversation with a 17 year old female, then this would be justified (but probably not if it was a 17-year old male he was working with).

Bottom line is that men and women are just very different.
