Historically, both Ohio State and Michigan have losing records in their bowl games. Ohio State was at least approaching .500 in recent years, but for all the bluster their fans create, you’d think they would have a more impressive track record.

Michigan has had trouble in bowls under Carr, Ohio State has had trouble under Cooper.

Ohio State has held their own in bowl games in recent years (the stat that matters today, not 100 years record) in bowl games with the exception of last year and I think the first year under Tressel.

The bluster you talk about has always bothered me. It bothers me that some Buckeyes are rediculous. It bothers me that people who support other teams are rediculous. It's a game, not life and death.

I guess my point is, SEC supporters and LSU supporters in particular are acting as if the game will be a gimme. This is exactly what some at OSU thought last year.

Yes I am a Buckeye (BSME 1988). Yes I root for the team. Yes I want to see us redeem ourselves against the SEC record of the past, and I do think we have a good shot at it. We did play the "unbeatable" "fast" Miami of Florida in 2002. You can argue if you want that we really won that game, but the fact is, Miami was stunned Ohio State could keep up with them. I think LSU is wise to keep that in mind.
