On the first game after Sean Taylor passes Joes Gibbs gets an Unsportsman Like Conduct penalty calling back to back time outs with 8 seconds left.
The Bills went from a 51 yard field goal attempt to win to a 36 yard gimmie from kicker phenom Lindell who has now 17 in a row FG streak.
Bills win 17-16.
I know Joe feels bad, I feel bad for him, but a head coach CANT make mistakes like that.
"I'm goin racin in a Toyota."
“It’s karma, dude, for the bizarre loss to the Cowboys a few weeks ago!”
Atta boy, nothing like a conspiracy theory (The G_ds are against you!) to toss at the Redskins after this game.
Bet it was a long ride home for fans.
“...I’m sick to death of the Redskins winning on paper and losing games!...”
I’m not.
I’m a Dallas Cowboys fan. Seeing the Deadskins, Jints, and Iggles lose is ALWAYS nice to see.
Dallas always has and always will...SUCK!
My understanding is that Joe is pretty much just a figurehead.
The Hogs' coaching calls are primarily made by the Assistant coaches.
He had already kicked a 51-yarder when he first iced the kicker.
The 2nd kick, at 36 yards, clearly would have cleared 55.
I wouldn’t put it past Gibbs to have done it on purpose, to “take the blame” for the loss he was certain was coming because the kicker was dead on.
After all, on the play before, the Redskins had 4 defenders within 2 yards of the guy receiving the pass, and none of them touched him, giving him another 10 yards. THAT’S what cost them the game. The kicker wouldn’t have hit a 65 yarder.
