Meg, my daily newspaper is weakening my strong defense of not having a cat. Yesterday, they published a pic from the ASPCA of a Tortoise Shell five year old cat. She is a beauty and holds the record for being at the shelter the longest of any cat. I had to fight myself to stay away from the phone.
It’s just to hard for me to have any pets now, not that I would not love to have one. ;0)
I think an older indoor cat would be lovely for you! They are really not demanding. I wish you could have one.
That is how I got Calli. Rescued her form the Humane Society. Calli is a Tortoise Shell calico and 6 years old now.
You need a cat and more importantly, a cat needs you.
They care for themselves and don’t need to be walked.
They love you and keep you warm and help you sleep.
There is one down at the shelter waiting for you, hoping to have a loving person to rescue him from that cold caged place that scares him so much.
Please get a kitten.
