I agree!! I bought a Toshiba laptop with 1 gig of RAM, and it was like 98 with 4 megs - SLOW and UNSTABLE! Upgraded to 2 gigs, it is much better, but XP is still superior. Wish I could downgrade!

Yikes.... I hate to think about how much $$$ the conversion to Vista cost. Nothing works the way it used to under WinXP.

If you don’t have to buy a new machine, stay away from this doggy named VISTA.

I have the Vista DVD (provided by Dell when I bought my computer last year) but I’m still using XP. I may install Vista after SP1 comes out but I’m still not certain that I will. It depends on how SP1 is received, and reviewed.

You are so correct. My mom got a new computer and it came with Vista. She calls me lost and I go over to help her and I am lost.....she eventually called the Geek Squad out to help her, they have been out several times.

I will never understand why they made it so difficult to understand and navigate.

Agreed. Have heard from friends and business clients ... they say the same. I also have the same information of Office 2007 and individual Word/Excel/PP/etc 2007 ... a pain. All like Office 2003 better.

Bill Gates and Microsoft have made some more disgruntled customers, maybe enemies, with the foisting of their continual bata product and make folks take what they believe they want and not what the customer wants.

I think for Microsoft the motto is: "The customer is always WRONG" or "Customer have no brain" much like Democrats thinking of voters.

I despise Vista. I use it at work sometimes..... If I have to get another personal computer at home, it’s going to be a Mac.

Had no choice on new Gateway ordered.

Wonder if I should uninstall it. Guess I could run it for a few weeks and see.

Will load UBUNTU on it too.
