Well, I'm a big fan on the Benelli Super 90 recoil action, though it "kicks" a bit harder than gas operated shotguns. Insanely fast action as well.

Like I say if I were in charge of any sort of a military procurement thing the idea of civilian firearms getting this far ahead would have to bother me. Probably should have called it Ultimate HUNTING Shotgun, Beretta almost certainly views this as a low end gun.

Ditto on the Benelli. I’ve got two of the H&K badged model M1 Super90s. There is no better defensive/tactical shotgun made IMHO.
