“No, I’m afraid Cardinal and Gold will hold sway—and Hugh Hewitt will once again have to eat crow on his radio program.”

I honestly believe the Bucks will make the title game. I think Oklahoma is better than Missouri and I think Pitt has at least an even money chance of beating WVU. As Pat White goes, so goes WVU, if you can stop him, or he has a bad night WVU loses.
The Bucks are a solid team. They looked past Illinois and got beat by a pretty good team. When OSU faced Purdue, the national buzz was Purdue was an awesome offense... not so much. When OSU faced Penn State in Happy Valley, the national buzz was OSU can’t stand up to a team like PSU in such hostile conditions... not so much. When OSU played Wisconsin, the buzz was Wisconsin was a solid and legit team that would expose OSU... not so much.
After OSU beat each of those at the time, ranked, teams, those teams struggled. Beat up maybe? Who knows.

Jim Tressel is the best, and the Buckeyes have only 2 or 3 starting seniors. USC will get the Bucks during the season next year... be careful what you wish for.

That's been the template for the pretty people all year long. It seems like pretty much every week the experts have picked Ohio St is lose.

Whether or not the Bucks or the Trojans make it to the Rose Bowl, the USC-Ohio State rivalry, on hold since 1990, is about to be revived, as Ohio State plays in the Coliseum next year, and we travel to Columbus the following year. The rivalry between the two schools dates back to 1937, when Troy edged the Bucks 13-12 in the Coliseum. USC currently leads in the series 11-9-1.

I hope to be able to attend the 2009 game at Ohio State—Columbus has good German restaurants.
