Local paper "Poughkepsie Journal" has a tiny blurb about it.
They're listed as title and link only, but the software won't let one do that.
I was on duty four miles away, heard the fire whistles go off.
They went off for quite some time.
There was heavy fog, air temp was 38 degrees, prime for icing on things that are flying.
Oddly, local news didn't say anything for quite some time.
And I searched FR for both title and keyword, didn't see it at all.
If it is there, then disregard.

Whoa, bad combination, fog and known icing conditions. My heart goes out to the victims and their families. Probably turn out to be pilot error when it’s all said and done but as one who has ventured further into IMC than my training or experience would support I know how easy it is to get one’s ass in a sling. Regardless of the cause, it’s just as hard on the survivors.

YIKES!! Prayers for those involved. Wonder if the pilot was VFR only.

The plane lost contact with controllers before 2 a.m. when it was attempting a second landing at the airport following a failed first approach ...Odd hour, not to mention weather, for a small aircraft to be flying.
