What? Are you serious?

I watched a documentary on special-needs adoption yesterday. What those kids went through made this girl’s life look like a fairy tale utopia. Somehow, they weren’t “destroyed”.

I do not know how religious this family was, so I'll post this as an observation.

Children raised to put their faith in God are never alone, never without someone who understands, and never wihtout a Champion in their battles in life.

One of the greatest fears of a teenager involves humiliation in front of their peer group, often a transient state, and faith allows them to take a longer view or laugh it off.

YMMV

Without that, it can be truly devastating, especially for someone living caught up in the moment.

It is a pity this child was as fragile as she was, and the acts of those who exploited her fragility for their entertainment are beyond despicable.
