They would hunt songbirds in the city parks.
Did I tell you what my neighbor saw one day years ago? Around the block from us were a Hmong family. Towards evening one day when she was out for a walk, she watched them as they were shooing in all kinds of pigeons into the house, like they were chickens. I wondered about the pigeons not flying off but she said they seemed pretty domesticated. Wondering if they clipped the wing feathers, too.
Anyway, I can just imagine what the inside of the house was like... ack!
