It’s a sweet ride. The “American cars are junk” crowd won’t like it.

They use CTS’s at the Bondurant racing school. I hear GM discontinued the CTS-V, however. That’s a shame - I was glad an American company was trying to make a car to compete with the BMW M cars and the Mercedes AMGs.

My parents have given up on Cadillac, spent more time in in the shop than the garage.
I do not consider Motor Trend as a credible source since the time they awarded car of the year based on how many free loaners they could coerce out of the manufacturer prior to the award.

Sweet car, but I think I’d have to have the CTS-V. Do they still make it? It’s a T-56 + LS2, right?

SWEET ride. I got a good look at one at the mall not too long ago.
I’ve been thinking of trading in my C-Class and maybe this is its replacement!

Looks like one little bump into something and you are out a whole lotta bucks!! I wish they would make cars with an extended bumper that can take an impact at so many miles per hour without having to go to the repair shop!
Like the old Volvo's here -

I looked at and drove the Caddy. I liked it but ended up instead choosing a Pontiac with 303HP instead last January.

What's interesting was that Cadillac developed the CTS using a lot of time at Nuerburgring race track so it has really good handling. With its six-speed automatic and the direct-injected V-6 engine, the car drives surprisingly well and gets pretty decent fuel efficiency considering its size and power.
I expect within two years the CTS will get a 3.2-liter V-6 turbodiesel that meets today's emission rules but has 33% better fuel efficiency than the gasoline engine.
