I read this article in the morning and thought the same thing... why is this illegal?
Is owning a poisonous toad with intent to lick against the law?

Now if he was setting up a toad licking house where slow teenagers hang out and chase the amphibian then yeah... I would say that is illegal. But to just own the toad, that seems far fetched.
