would not putting a Christmas tree upside down be like putting a Crucifix upside down, or the American Flag upside down? in essence an offense to all things Christian?

I don’t know. The Christmas tree is a secular symbol more than a religious one, I think, like the Easter Bunny at Easter, harmless and fun, but part of a holiday that hristians celebrate as deeply religious as well. Italians don’t really use Christmas trees much, as I understand it they really are into creche’s (manger scenes) in their houses and have some incredible ones, so the tree isn’t a universal Christian symbol like a cross or the icthus. Bottom line is that no one does upside down Christmas trees and it could be intended as an insult by some anti-Christian person or group of people at Lowes.

Hobby Lobby sells them - I thought they were a neat novelty item, and I was about to get one. Given Lowe's BDS, I think I will, now!
