Interestingly enough, Macs are actually very nice machines because so much is already standard on most Mac models that you don’t need to spend a fortune on add-ons except for more RAM and hard disk storage. That’s why iMac sales are very strong nowadays.
A couple months ago I purchased a used G5 iMac and other than a power supply recall, I've had no problems whatsoever with it.
I maxed out the RAM and connect to my old XP system via vnc when necessary.
What I'd like to do is get a MacBookPro and run a Windows VM on it. A little pricey but I'd have all that I need.
