The “Evan Tanner” novels, by Lawrence Block. Mr. Tanner got a piece of shrapnel through his “sleep center” in the Korean War, and stopped sleeping. It left him with lots of time on his hands.

I have to do it the hard way, with coffee.
My robots get in trouble during the night because they don’t sleep.
Interestingly, you can discover what the sensation of having two brains is like. When you are driving, particularly on a trip long enough to be boring, you can swich driving arms ... and end up switching brains!
We have trained both sides of our brain to handle this skill. If you have ever driven right past your destination or your turnoff, it may be because the wrong side was in charge.
Your analytical half wouldn’t make that mistake. But the dreamer in you always has time for such lollygagging.
It’s also one of the reasons our hands do odd things while we’re driving. The other side of the brain likes to stay busy.

30 degrees? I was annoyed when the hotel thermostat couldn't be set below 22.
Oh, you meant 30 F. *\;-)
The forecast doesn't show anything that low in the next week here. Low to high 30s and rain.

I have no clue what tubs my winter clothes are in, so I’m not as warm as I could be. Once the sun gets high enough for me to actually benefit from it, I’ll go out and see if I can find some sweats and leg warmers.

Uh oh. If the tubs aren’t transparent/translucent, always a good idea to label them...

Erg! We have 40’s, with rain in the forecast, not that I believe it actually will.

I, for one, hope you get some much needed rain. The temps leave a lot to be desired, though!

When I transferred the items from boxes to tubs, I was in a hurry to get it done before the monsoons came. I had enough tubs to put on the concrete and some in a second layer, but the rest was boxes.
When I transferred the rest of it, I labeled the tubs but was so grossed out by the cricket and spider populations that had infested the remaining boxes that I just about went berserk, trying to finish the job.
I used an entire can of Raid out there, and shuddered for the next week whenever I thought of the “things” I had killed. I’m not even sure now if winter clothes were transferred or not. For the most part, those boxes were still sealed.
