Don't get me wrong here, I like TAR, but I get tired of the selection process of the teams. They seem so artificial and predictable, such as:

Token Black couple -- Why not two black couples?

A gay Couple -- This time Lesbian ministers, they had to search hard to find that team.

One couple for "shock value" - This time an effeminate goth and her female Partner.

At least one Hot couple -- This time two the Blondes and the Brunettes.

Token "normal" People -- Their word not mine.

Sympathy Couples - Gramps and the Asian team.

TAR is my all time favorite show but you are right it is so formulaic. Same true with Survivor and The Apprentice and even Hell’s Kitchen.

My first thought was “Token Black couple” — Why not ten black teams consisting of all the required characters except they are all black. And then one say, American Indian team? Why not shake it up?

Token "normal" People -- Their word not mine.

I added "normal" just to differentiate that dating team from the 5 or 6 other dating teams. They look normal enough--compared to the goths and lesbians ;)
