Those damn Romans had them everywhere they went. I think wimmin complain that men miss the toilet many times. How would they handle those narrow slits?

Stonework? It looks like concrete. Romans were very good with concrete.

Making the whole thing out of concrete was the Roman wimin's way of insuring that the seat was always down.
