BIG THANKS from me....
One of the other finalists is a high school teacher and I'm thinking she probably had a large part of the whole school body vote for her, the other finalist races semi-professional. To be able to finish above the other racers, some with some very high-caliber equipment, was a surprise...we'll see where we shake out among the final three but I'd just like to say that the FReepers are #1 in my book!!!!!!!
And the e-mails I got from our Troops!!!! I don't know what to say................
I am truly and deeply honored.
I got the chance to speak with Debbie Lee at the Sept 11 rally (I'm waiting to get a copy of a certain picture from that rally..when I get it I will share it with you all here) and her son was the first Navy Seal to have sacrificed his life for our Freedoms in Afghanistan...I have her permission to add "In memory of Marc Alan Lee"to the back of our car for next season...although it is but one name I hope it will honor all of those who have given it all and inspire the rest of us (especially me) to do better in whatever we are doing and to never forget those who have given it their all for everyone.
