lol... Wonderful argument. It's the same one liberals try use to try to silence those pro-military citizens that have never served in the military. You aren't a liberal are you? Tell me. What are you more afraid of? The possibility that I may be right or the possibility that you will contract MRSA? And honestly... Would you care if I had a degree in medicine or not? Having you already made up your mind?
I think more people need to understand that those of you with the Al Gore "consensus" mindset are deceived. The rest of us are tired of all you chicken littles running around looking for some modern day great plague to wipe out mankind. Herpes? AIDS? The Bird Flu? Now MRSA? Etc...
Please. Give it a rest. I'm not buying it and if some of you are offended because I am capable of putting 2 and 2 together and getting 4 then too bad. Maybe you should repent and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and receive the perfect health of God that He died to give you instead of trying to shame those of us who have into converting to your religion of fear.
What are you more afraid of?
Question not directed at me but I’m afraid you live somewhere near me!
You mean the perfect health that Paul enjoyed?
Well, I'm one of those people that don't have health insurance because I can't afford it. I joke to my Christian friends that Jesus is my health insurance. (but I'm only half joking) :) If I could afford it, I'd have Ted Kennedy's health insurance.
So was the Black Death God’s punishment or was that just a scam too?
You however are either insane or putting us on. Which is it?
er...Christ died to save sinners -- that we may rejoice with HIM with our perfect bodies at the Resurrection. Until then, we live in a sin cursed world, and that includes bodies that age, get infirmed, and eventually die. Thank God for the wonderful medicines that he provides in nature, and for the wisdom that He's given doctors to develop and prescribe useful drugs, and to have the skills to sew up the wounded.
I'm as anti-medicine as the next 'New Age' guy (well, I thought I was, ... until I read your post ... for now I must kneel to you as the New Leader of the anti-medicine crowd), but there are some illness that really need powerful drugs - and Thank God that we have them -- and there are some injuries/conditions that really need surgery - and Thank God that we have skilled doctors that can perform them.
When Jeremiah lamented: 'Is there no Balm in Gilead, is there no Physician there?', it clearly was a prophetical statement regarding Christ. Nonetheless, it was appropriate because the balm came from a balsam tree, that once cut and wounded - oozed forth a resin that had great healing properties...We should not turn our back on God's gifts of medicine and intellect, as clearly as we should not turn our back on God's ultimate gift - His Son.
right...
so no Christians have fallen ill or died since the time of Christ
God did not promise perfect health, rather the opposite. When Paul prayed for healing, he was told “My strength is sufficient for you”. Christ told us we would have tribulation in this world, and most saints struggle with health problems at one time or another. But what do I know - I am apparently just a practitioner of witchcraft and soorcery /s.
