Singer Teresa Brewer, who topped the charts in the 1950s with hits like "'Till I Waltz Again with You," has died. She was 76.

Family spokesman Bill Munroe says Brewer died at her home in New Rochelle, N.Y. of a neuromuscular disease. Her four daughters were at her bedside.

Brewer had scores of hits in the 1950s but pared down her public life to raise her children in the 1960s. She re-emerged a decade later to perform with jazz greats Dizzy Gillespie, Duke Ellington and Wynton Marsalis.

Munroe says Funeral arrangements haven't been decided.

First song I remember my older brother hung up on was ‘Put Another Nickle In, In The Nickelodeon’. Teresa was a little lady, but she was big in Japan.

I remember that song! From when I was a little girl. My dad had records, I think that’s where I heard it.

She was about 14 years older than me, I didn’t realize she was that old. I had the hots for her when I was about 16 years old.

Loved her voice too.

I remember that song when I was a kid but I always confused Ms. Brewer with Brenda Lee, for some reason.

Goodbye gentle lady. I grew up with your “Music! Music! Music!”, “Sweet Old Fashioned Girl”, “’Til I Waltz Again With You” and “Tweedle Dee”. Your original fans will truly miss you.
