Right, I understand that. Obviously it’s tough to throw any blame on Lester. We may need Lester out of the pen again if Wakefield being Wakefield shows up. While we know he’s not a reliever by trade, he certainly is for this series. Or else, Francona would have left him off the roster.
I do wonder how many games has Gag-me actually blown this year since coming to Boston. It has to be like 5 or 6.

There are 6 games that he enabled the Sox to lose either outright or with blown saves.
Wakefield was on a nice run then got hurt and has not been the same since. How a knuckle baller gets a sore shoulder is beyond me but stranger things have happened I guess.
The only reason Lester made the roster is because Buchholz needed to be shut down.

Hank and Hal Steinbrenner are to take over the day-to-day running of the team. They have probably been running the team for a few years now.

Classic, but too bad. I had high hopes when the Sox brought him on.
Our pen really needs to step it up tonight and we need solid innings from Dice-K. If he gets run out early, it's not going to be pretty.

Gagne had NO business being at that celebration at Fenway when the Sox clinched the Division, btw.

That’d been like Terry Glenn celebrating with the Pats after they beat the Rams in Super Bowl 36.

I hope Dicey-K can give us at least six innings as well. My husband and I are almost dreading watching this game. And I don't want to see GAGNE within several miles of the Jake tonight... hopefully they left him back in Boston.

Westbrook succeeds or fails on the strength of the fielders. Keep it up boys!
Tonight we're watching the television and listening to WATM on satellite radio. Even with a ten second delay (!) it's better than Buck and McCarver.
